Faint positive or imagination?? :s

Hi everyone,

I'm about 9dpo. For the last couple of days I've been spotting, feeling very nauseous & tired. Also had a pounding headache this morning. Decided to take a first response earlier on today & thought I could see a line, but then again it could be my imagination. I know it's early days... I ended up picking up the first response rapid detection by accident so I have ordered some frer which are going to be delivered tomorrow.

I think I can see something but I don’t know for sure! I think it’s looking good but obviously try not to get your hopes up (easier said than done, I know!) and test in a few days! Good luck

It's very very very faint but I thought I could see something.. would explain why I've been having these symptoms. Thank you!! xx

Nope. No line. It would need to be clearly visible to be considered positive. Try another test when your period is late 😊

Thanks guys. It's nice reading other people's opinions.. I think sometimes we can get carried away taking tests & seeing lines that aren't there will take another in the morning & in a couple of days :)x

Put your torch on your phone then hold the line/s part of test over the bulb, Even a faint line should be somewhat visible this way.

Yep. I see it. And I did literally hundreds of tests and I never got a line on a FRER that didn’t end with a baby.

So I took a test with my first wee of today. Line is very faint again. Almost non existent.. you can only really see something when I change the contrast of the picture so I reckon it's a negative :/ also tried holding up my flashlight to the back of the test but I think maybe that's an indent line :/

That’s negative, sorry. If it was positive you’d be able to see the line just by looking at it, even if it was faint. Maybe test again in a week if your period doesn’t come but for now I’d presume you’re not pregnant.

That's what my FRER positive looked like at 10dpo. I could see it but it wouldn't show up on photos until 4/5 days after AF as a glaring dark positive.

With my first pregnancy I kept testing like that and it drove me mad as they were all negative until the actual day of missed period. Still, I can relate to the stress of needing to know now! With my second I bought clearblue digital (which says pregnant, as well as how far along you are) and took this three days before missed period and it was positive :) I knew this time I could not take those tests you're taking until the actual day of missed period. I keep my fingers crossed for you, and really hope you're pregnant!

I had a very faint line on my first test and when I rang the ivf clinic they said any line no matter how faint indicates the pregnancy hormone. Did a first response test later that night and got a strong positive. Good luck!

Wait another day or two and test again. But to be honest, it looks like negative at the moment, but could change closer to your period! It just looks like the line that appears when not pregnant (the line has colour to it when its positive). I have had the same when I was not pregnant.

I would say positive if you can see pink line when you shine a light through the back

I think it was a chemical cause I'm just getting negative tests now. Been having strange pinching sensations in my cervix & my right ovary has been hurting. Maybe just getting ready for period to arrive 😒

Hi is this a positive? Ive tested after this with different brands and all negative.. this was 6 days before period is due..

It’s only positive if you can see a line.
I don’t think this was your month, sorry. Are you due AF about today? I’m not sure this is even a chem, I didn’t see any positive tests. It’s hard, especially when you really want it, but what’s for you won’t go by you....

I don’t see how it can be a chemical OP as you only posted negative tests? Please don’t upset yourself believing you’ve miscarried/had a chemical, nothing you’ve shared suggests that you’ve had anything other than a regular month not conceiving at all. Hoping next month is your month though 💛

Blue tests are notorious for faint positive negatives. Going to have to use a red dye.
