hi mummies just needing some friendly information

I had my copper coil in since November 2018

me and my partner want another baby

I had my coil removed on the 21st May 2019 and I was still having my regular 28 day cycle

me and my partner have been actively trying since the day of my coil removal we have been having sexual intercourse every morning and night

according to P.C (ovulation app) I ovulated from 25th May 2019 to the 31st May 2019 my highest fertility date was the 30th

My next period is due on the 13th June 2019 and I am strongly praying that I am pregnant

What is the chance of me getting pregnant the doctor said I will be fertile straight away

Also when would be the right time to test for pregnancy I have brought the first response early detection test which can test from up to 5 days from expected period

and according to that I can test from the 7/8th June 2019

thank you mummies and mummies to be SmileBlush

It took 2 cycles for me. My first period after removal was delayed by a week so you can imagine how excited I got!! Apparently it's quite common for a delay in first period so don't get your hopes like I did if you're late first time. Good luck!!

Lovemartina2012 · 06/06/2019 19:57

I got pregnant same day as removel of copper coil so good luck hope all go well for you

Popsicales · 06/06/2019 19:59

I also got pregnant the same day as copper coil removal. Unfortunately, it was a chemical pregnancy but I conceived again the following month. Good luck!

shazchip · 06/06/2019 20:21

I had a Mirena and conceived 3 months after removal.

Just a general point though, many people take much much longer to conceive after coming off any form of birth control, there isn't anything necessarily wrong if you don't conceive straight away. I naively thought we would conceive in the first cycle if we 'did everything right at the right time' - and was severely disappointed when it didn't happen! Only then did I do some reading/research into it and I now feel very lucky for it to have only taken 3 months.

splishandsplash · 06/06/2019 20:25

I fell after two days of the coil being removed!
I know this doesn't help, I personally wouldn't take a test till 2/3 days before as incorrect readings just dishearten you.
You're having sex twice a day? Is that not a bit much 🙈

Had my copper coil removed November 2015. Pregnant from ivf in June 2018. Unexplained infertility (which means they have no clue why we couldn't get pregnant naturally and nothing wrong has been discovered). My daughter is 12 weeks old.

It can happen quickly or not.

MrsRyan15 · 06/06/2019 23:01

It took us 18 months to conceive after copper coil was removed.

applecatchers36 · 06/06/2019 23:03

Within a couple of months both times

MrsxRocky · 06/06/2019 23:35

MrsF90 · 07/06/2019 04:23

Move on 8 years -

November is dreadful for birthdays!

peamad · 07/06/2019 09:44

I got pregnant the same month as having it removed. Btw i believe the advice is to have sex every other day, more frequently than that can reduce the quality of sperm and doesn't actually improve your chances of 'catching' an egg.

PugPupsMum · 07/06/2019 13:27

@shazchip That's because Mirena puts a hormone into you which needs time to work its way out, the copper coil doesnt

PugPupsMum · 07/06/2019 13:29

I have mine removed September and conceived in December's cycle.

November we didnt actually try, I avoided my fertile days as I wanted to enjoy a few shandies over Xmas, so if we actually tried that month it could have been even sooner!

sineadhopexx · 07/06/2019 13:37

@sineadhopexx good luck hope it’s a bfp for you

SnowyAlpsandPeaks · 07/06/2019 22:05

I had mine out and fell pregnant 3 days later. It was the only time we had sex in that 2 week window, hence we know the exact day (we actually went to a wedding, came home between the service and evening reception and dtd lol)

My3boys9910 · 10/06/2019 16:35

I had mine out April 2016 & fell pregnant may 2016 didn't even have a period!Good luck Smile

sineadhopexx · 13/06/2019 17:52

So I’m literally going to rip my heart out

Yesterday 12th June 2019 I started bleeding very light pinkish blood not enough to fill a tampon o pantyliner and no cramps either

It only started when me and OH had sex last night and is only there when I wipe

Been having light positive tests

Do I wait a week to test incase it was either menstrual bleeding or in fact implantation bleeding

With me having a history of mc I am very worried

sineadhopexx · 18/06/2019 08:53

It was due 13th June but instead of a period I only had very light spotting from the 12th to the 14th normally my periods range from 4-5 days and are normally very heavy but I am still only getting faint lines still I'm booked in for a blood test at my doctors tomorrow see what they say
