Is it normal not to gain any weight in 3rd trimester or have a couple of weeks of not gaining ? Then having a gain. I haven't gained any weight for 2 weeks . Which I am glad as I have gained 2st 8lb so far. I am 35 weeks today.

I had exactly the same problem but everything turned out fine!! I changed my diet due to gestational diabetes and actually ended up losing 5 pounds in the final trimester. My doctor reassured me that the baby is a hugely effective parasite and will take whatever s/he needs from your body. As long as you're still eating well and growth scans look good then it should be ok.

I haven't gained weight between weeks 37-39. In fact I even lost a bit. Had a healthy BMI before and no GD etc. Just not gaining weight. Baby is fine though so nobody is worried. I'm doing lots of eating but also loads of walking etc so I'm sure it's just all balancing out. I wouldn't worry unless your doctor/midwife does.

I haven't gained for weeks and weeks now but bump definitely growing 🙂 burned off all the carb stores I built up in the first half of pregnancy I think!

Cross fingers I don't gain anymore weight for another 5 weeks then as bump is bigger
