Reduced movements and scan anxiety

Hello,

I attended my local triage last night due to concerns about reduced movements of the baby. They monitored me and said heart rate were fine and thet were happy as she moved when we were there. Because it's the second time I've been, the Doctor reviewed it and is sending me for a growth scan just to make sure everything is okay. They said it would be either today or tomorrow but when the antenatal team have called they've said the first available scan isn't until Wednesday!

I'm now worrying about how I will keep it together for nearly a week worrying if all is okay. Anyone got ant advice or suggestions? Sad

Hi Op could you pay for a private scan? Maybe that would help with your anxiety if your able to see baby sooner?
I done the same when I was pregnant with my DD I was having horrendous stomach pains and as I'd never experienced that before the hospital were non the wiser when I ended up going to out of hours GP I was 17 weeks at time so maternity ward wouldn't have seen me and as I wasn't bleeding wouldn't have been classed as a worry etc anyhow to cut a long story short we ended up paying to go see a private consultant and have a scan which the DR pointed out the pain I was experiencing was split stomach muscles so baby was fine I know it's slightly different to yours with reduced movement but it put my mind at ease once I'd had that consultation and seen my baby on the screen she's now 3 months old I would perhaps look online and see if there is anywhere you can book before the weds if not perhaps call them back and see if they can fit you in earlier explaining your anxious good luck Op with rest of your pregnancy Wink

Could you phone MAU and ask if you can go in to be monitored one day in between? One gestation are you?

I'm sure they wouldn't have let you go (or made you wait so long) if they were worried by anything on the monitoring but don't be afraid to go back if you feel reduced movements in the meantime Smile
