They only get so dark! There's a maximum point 😊

They are good strong lines

Christ, why do people think this is what you’re meant to do with pregnancy tests? They’re designed to say a simple yes or no. You’re pregnant. Even a faint line is a positive. Stop testing, they’re not designed to show you how pregnant you are, you’re just stoking anxiety and those lines are perfectly normal.

Honeybingbong · 06/06/2019 10:37

Lines on a pregnancy test only get so dark. They also only tell you if there is hcg in your urine or not. Your definitely pregnant and congratulations Flowers

I’m having a miscarriage right now confirmed by the early Pregnancy unit. I should be 7 weeks. I’ve been spotting since 5 and a half weeks and heavier bleeding since Saturday. I stupidly poas last night hoping it would be negative or nearly negative and it’s blazing positive still. You will also get ladies who don’t get strong lines who go on to have a viable pregnancy.
You need to talk to your GP if you have genuine concerns about miscarriage or etopic. Please stop wasting money and energy poas. It’s really not worth the stress.

Congratulations on your pregnancy. I mean this in the nicest way possible but how much darker exactly do you expect the lines to get? Why are you poas daily? What do you want the tests to tell you? They are merely designed to pick up a hormone nothing else. If you have anxiety you should speak to your gp as this is not going to make it better. It can swiftly become a very unhealthy and expensive addiction with no real purpose.

Those are perfect, @broodymamma - the lines can only get so dark. I know it's really hard but no more tests - it's pointless now anyway, even if you miscarry (and chances are you won't!) you'll still have hcg in your system for a while so the tests aren't telling you anything useful.

Here are mine - I obsessed and agonised over them; terrorised myself. But I'm 11 weeks today and my last scan at 8+4 showed good growth and a heartbeat.

Have you considered a private scan at 6+ weeks? Seeing a heartbeat will reassure you.

@Honeybingbong I'm so sorry to read that you are miscarrying - been there, it's just awful 💐

Have you tried the digital tests? The ones that say pregnant, 1-2 weeks, 2-3 weeks. They only go up so far but rather than testing daily it would give you a better indication that the hormone levels are increasing. Nothing can be gained from testing daily with the cheap pregnancy tests.
If you just want a little reassurance by 2 of the digital, test one, then in a weeks time test another. See if it goes up. Should put your mind at rest, but unfortunately it’s just a waiting game in the first several weeks. Morning sickness usually kicks in around 7 weeks so that’s usually another sign that things are still progressing. But not all women experience morning sickness either!
I’m sure you’ll be fine, just stop worrying. X
