Hey is anyone else in a similar boat? I'm 10wks with our first baby, scan is booked on 17th June. Literally don't know how I'll wait 2wks to know if everything is OK!! Terrified of a missed misscarage. How are you coping with the wait?

I caved in and paid for a private reassurance scan at 10 weeks. I just couldn't bare the waiting any longer and because I had bled a few times I just needed to know what was happening in there.

So worth the money because I saw a lovely healthy baby bobbing around and it really helped my pregnancy anxiety until that wait for the nhs scab (which I actually had at 13 weeks)

I'm 11 weeks today and still have two weeks to wait til my first scan (20th) - would really love a private one but DH put off by the cost. I spose I can see his reasoning (currently in the process of buying a house) but I don't actually feel like anything is going on inside me yet!

We are in the same situation with currently buying a new house, but soo tempted with a private one!! Can't decide if it's silly when it's 2wks away, was thinking if I wait (and everything is OK) to have another at 16wks as we then have to wait for the 20wk! It's insane how much I've turned into such a worrier 😂

Exciting! I am having a private early scan. Obviously unsure what people financial
Situation is but I am having mine a mothercare for £90? More reasonable than I thought it would be?

MyDcAreMarvel · 05/06/2019 15:54

£90! It’s £45-£50 here.

I’m 9 weeks today and awaiting scan date. Hopefully it comes soon as work aren’t aware of my pregnancy yet and I’ll need to give notice to arrange cover! I’m terrified I’m going to turn up and there be no baby. Like it’s all been in my head. Would love to go for an early scan xx

I am 9 weeks and can't wait for 12 week scan (mine is actually 12+4 so an even longer wait!) we went for private early scan last week when I was exactly 8 and all looking good and saw a tiny heartbeat 😊 I am lucky it was only £39 where I am. I have to say though getting the early scan doesn't make me any less impatient for the 12 week one, I think it's because I know I can tell people after 12.

Hopefull26 · 05/06/2019 16:34

It's £90 here at mothercare and £79 in other clinics. I've seen so many posts from people who have gone for there scan and it's been bad news 😕

That's so true and after the 12, we'll be worried about the 20 😂

I'm 5 days away from my 20 weeks scan and back st the driving-myself-crazy phase!

It's worth having a look on groupon for early scan deals- I got one for about £30 I seem to remember!

gkeal3 · 09/06/2019 11:28

I got a groupon deal too. It was £39 for up to 12 weeks and I had a local deal code so I paid around £32. Def worth checking your area in groupon xx
