Growth scan tomorrow

Baby and bump measuring small at 37 weeks so midwife has booked me for a scan tomorrow.
I'm worried sick. I lost my mother suddenly and unexpectedly almost 4 weeks ago and have truly tried to stop myself getting stressed and upset as much as I possibly could. I feel now like I've not tried hard enough. If baby is measuring small then what?

I'm sorry you're having such a tough time. I've had this with both of my pregnancies and both babies were a healthy weight at birth with no issues at all.

I had this every two weeks from 32 til I gave birth to a healthy 7.4 ds. They had me worrying that I had/ was doing something wrong.
I'm sorry for your loss, you must me going through such a tough time, but just take it as a positive that's what I did in the end, I got to see my baby more.

As far as baby, try not to worry. I was referred for a grown scan at 36 weeks, and had people commenting on how 'tiny' my bump was. DS weighed 7lbs14oz at birth. Born exactly 41 weeks.

If they are concerned about your babies growth, they will talk you through your options and they may offer you an induction. Best of luck!

I'm so sorry to hear your sad news.

Don't worry about the growth scan. We saw 2 different midwives - one of them couldn't measure the bump properly for shit (I'm sure of it) and sent us for 3 consecutive growth scans.
The other measured a healthy size every time.

DD was 10 days late and was a healthy 8lb 9oz.

had this with both of mine, had many scans up until 37 weeks with my first measuring small, she came 6 days late weighing 7.5!
With my second he was apparently measuring too big which had me sooo scared for the labour but he came also 6 days late weighing 8.5! Which isnt too big!!

I'm so sorry about your mum. I've had growth scans since week 25. I think my baby is just small. The size of your baby is nothing to do with your stress levels. Please please try not to blame yourself. You've done the best that you can for your bubs. That's what's important here. Be kind to yourself.
