Blood in urine sample at booking appointment

Hi! I had my booking appointment today (12+1) and my urine sample was all okay, apart from she noticed some bits of blood. My scan is in 2 days but I'm nervous (natural miscarriage in January at 8 weeks with no symptoms) but this time I've had all of the sickness and tiredness and no bleeding.

She wasn't too concerned and said it may be older bits, anyone else had this? I have no blood when I go to the toilet and I had a scan at 7 weeks and saw heartbeat and measuring to date this time around.

Thanks!x

@charliep92 I don't recall having it at my booking in appointment but virtually every other midwife appointment when I was pregnant with DS they would see traces of blood and always thought I had a UTI, send me for tests for UTI and negative every time. I didn't spot at all, never noticed any blood myself and all was well - DS is now nearly 3. Try to stay calm, I know easier said than done. Best of luck OP.

Hi. Try not to worry. I had it all the way through my last pregnancy. I was given antibiotics, it went away, came back, given antibiotics....pretty much all the way through. Baby was absolutely fine. Think some women are just more susceptible to UTI's when pregnant. I understand why you're worrying - especially because of your loss - but if you've had no bleeding then the blood is way more likely to have been in your urine and not transferred there because of anything else going on x
