I found out last week (at two days past expected AF) that I'm pregnant - had a BFP on a First Response test. This is my third pregnancy since October last year. Works out that I'm due around the 3rd Feb 2020.

I've had two miscarriages - one in October 2018 at 12 weeks which resulted in surgery and another in February 2019, which ended at 6 weeks. I'm really quite nervous, but hopeful that this time is third time lucky. 🤞🏻🌈

Is anyone else due in Feb 2020? Are you having any symptoms?

Morning, lovely to see all the BFPs!

DH & I told both sets of our parents yesterday (we are only at 5+3) as we had said if anything happens then we would want their support anyway.
They were all thrilled and it was so nice to tell them. I knew my mum had guessed anyway but she still cried and is so happy. This will be my parents 2nd grandchild and DH parents 1st.

Have booked a private scan for 14/07 when I will be 8+4 as just want to see the little heartbeat.

Called GP and booked with the midwife for 18/07. I am terrified of needles so I am going to have to get used to all the blood tests!

Can I join please, got my BFP yesterday and EDD 28th feb. Very near to 29th Feb being a leap year!

@WillowtheWild Awk that's lovely. I've no children, has a MC at 7 weeks in April so I'm just prayingggg this little bean sticks. I'm going to book an early scan for 8 or 9 weeks just to reassure me

IcecreamAndAHug · 23/06/2019 13:21

Hiya all, im due 25th febuary, found out 3 says ago, and am 4+5 today xxx

fluffybottom · 23/06/2019 15:22

Hi, I've posted on the other group, shame there's two.

I'm almost 5 weeks with my first, due 24th Feb. This was our first cycle trying, never ever thought we'd fall pregnant first time.

Just about got over the shock just in time to feel really anxious about everything. Had a bit of nausea and dizziness, plus almost constant dull ache since Wednesday. I have a gp appointment booked for Wednesday and think we might pay for a private scan at 7 weeks to try and allay my fears.

Savvysaz · 23/06/2019 15:45

Am I meant to make a GP appointment now? I'm only 4+2, this is my first baby. Praying it sticks!

Wishing56 · 23/06/2019 15:57

@explorers10 ah i recognise your name from a thread i was in a couple of months back (maybe March?). Congratulations! Glad we finally got our BFP!

Wishing56 · 23/06/2019 16:08

@Savvysaz when I called my GP I said to reception this is my first pregnancy so didnt really know what I am meant to do and she said unless I have any concerns then I would just book in straight with midwife around 8 weeks rather than a GP. booked it then and there for an appt with their resident midwife on 18/7.

Savvysaz · 23/06/2019 16:14

@Wishing56 ahhh thanks! I'm scared I jinx it if I all too soon😂

Wishing56 · 23/06/2019 16:23

@Savvysaz i know what you mean. To be fair I found out at 9dpo so wanted to wait until after my AF was due so I waited a week before calling.

fluffybottom · 23/06/2019 16:32

@Savvysaz check your gp surgery's website. I have to have a prebooking appointment at 6 weeks, then the actual booking at 8 weeks.

Savvysaz · 23/06/2019 16:35

@fluffybottom thanks, the website doesn't say anything specific so I'll just call tomorrow and hope I have a sticky one

Explorers10 · 23/06/2019 17:54

@Wishing56

Congratulations on your BFP! Thank you for recognising me, feels like a lifetime waiting for a BFP! Maybe it was the ovulating threads? Just read your earlier messages about telling your parents, I’m glad they were so happy for you! I’m still in shock, don’t have any symptoms yet at all!

Nkb15 · 23/06/2019 18:15

@wineorgin congratulations. I can't wait for mines!!

We had a wedding yesterday, it was a super long day and I'm suffering today. Despite my OH getting on at me for blabbing he was like gob of the North and told half the guests, a lot of whom are friends with my step daughters mum so now I'm feeling extra pressure to tell her.

Someone suggested an iPad or iPod she has iPad already, she's a very lucky girl and has lots of gadgets for an 8 year old. IV been thinking about buying a nursery rhyme book and writing a poem in it to ask her to share all the stories with the baby, she's a very keen reader and loves to read aloud to me. But I'm not sure if I should go bigger than that?

Gemster19 · 23/06/2019 19:11

Feeling super anxious today ladies - went to the bathroom earlier and had some 'bleeding' on the paper when I wiped, was very pale pink and very thin in consistency, hardy like blood at all but I don't really know what else to call it. I looked online and it says to contact your midwife, but of course I don't have one yet, so I called 111 and they told me to put a pad in to monitor the flow and a midwife would call me within 2hrs. That was 5hrs ago! There's nothing on the pad in that time and when I wipe it's now a small amount of browny discharge. Has anyone had anything similar?

I leave for work at 6:30am and work almost 2hrs from home, I don't want to be over dramatic but as the early pregnancy unit is closed now I don't want them to tell me to come in and be 2hrs away without DP 😩.

Any advice/guidance/reassurance welcome!

fluffybottom · 23/06/2019 19:31

@Gemster19 it's most likely implantation bleeding.

OccasionalNachos · 23/06/2019 20:14

8+2 and I have had a small amount of brownish discharge today - not heavy, & no pain or cramps with it. I don’t want to panic unnecessarily but really not sure what to do. I have been feeling less nauseous today too.

I don’t want to phone 111 but the midwife referral number for my area is Mon-Fri 8-4. Should I call tomorrow morning if it’s still happening?

Rainboe1 · 23/06/2019 20:18

Just got my bbp today! Due 28th Feb!

Rainboe1 · 23/06/2019 20:19

Those that have spotting, I had this with my second.. apparently it's really common but of course best to get it checked!

OccasionalNachos · 23/06/2019 20:24

Congrats @Rainboe1! Good to have a bit of reassurance around spotting too, I think I might drive myself mad googling symptoms & reading MN threads. Nothing I can do about it tonight though as it’s not an A&E situation so I’ll see how the night goes.

JellyBaby666 · 24/06/2019 07:18

Congratulations to all those with positive tests too! Yay! Feeling so nauseous all day, spent yesterday with my SIL and hated lying/avoiding the question about when we’re having kids but I know she’ll understand why I was vague when we tell them!

@OccasionalNachos Hope the brownish loss has settled, can you get to EPU today?

WillowtheWild · 24/06/2019 08:31

@Nkb15 my daughter has just turned 9, I can't wait to tell her, but I have to hold off a bit. The nursery rhyme idea is fantastic, I don't think you need to go all out and buy big gifts, the fact that she will be having a sibling will be so exciting for her! If you phrase it as if its 'hers' - like 'her baby brother or sister' it helps her to feel really included. I've done this with all mine and it's worked well.

WillowtheWild · 24/06/2019 08:34

@Gemster19 and @OccasionalNachos how are you both this morning?

Rainboe1 · 24/06/2019 08:44

@Explorers10 we have the same due date! I was also thinking about the leap year!
My partners bday is the day before.
Please can someone add me to the Facebook group thank you
