Very sore area - top of bump

I am having trouble with my bump. I get pains in the very top under my breast bone, roughly directly underneath my bra. It feels stingy and sore. Weirdly, I have no other areas that are painful.

I'm 27 weeks with twins and am huge, in case that makes a difference. Anyone else have experience of this? Any explanation or tips for relief?

I’m getting this. I’m only carrying one, but again huge for 20 weeks.
Sneezing is pure agony. I was going to mention it to the doctor tomorrow, but not sure if I’m just being silly

I am going to see my consultant tomorrow as well! I will also ask, as I'm worried it'll just get worse

Me too.
I’ve not got this far in a pregnancy before, so thought maybe it is normal.
I’ve got HG, and thought maybe it is something to do with this.
Will ask the doctor tomorrow.
My other thought was, though I’m 5.7, I am very short in the body. And maybe it is just the baby pushing up high as has know where else to go.

Agony, not agent!

Whoops my previous message with the typo never posted. Basically said I had this too in first pregnancy, kind of like a burning pain under boobs. Am now 36 weeks with second and haven't had it again so wondering if it was skin/muscle stretching or something last time. Sorry no help, just sympathy!

i think that maybe when they have put themselves in a weird place like with my first daughter she would stretch and lean into my ribs .dam that was uncomfortable

JemimaCuddleMuck · 03/06/2019 20:48

I had the same pain with my first pregnancy. After I had DD I had diastasis recti (separated abdominals) and I think the pain must've been from this. Baby was perfectly fine and I was given physio (although will always have some separation).

If it is a small patch, kinda feels like it should be red as its a burning sensation it is probably just a trapped nerve from the belly stretching. I spoke to my midwife about it and apparently it is very normal
(I'm 37 weeks preggers)

Always tell your midwife or Gp though :)

Just a quick update on this.

I seen my consultant today and it was confirmed that my ab muscles are indeed splitting. Also when she scanned the area, there were tiny feet pressed into it! It seems like it's a combination of the splitting muscles and the babies being in an uncomfortable spot
