Swelling downstairs

I'm on baby #2 and am currently 23 weeks and my god downstairs is very swollen. I know it's really common due to all the increased blood flow but when I sit on a toilet and can get a decent view, it looks so bad and aches in that position.
Any tips or tricks to reduce the swelling? I'll be mentioning it to the midwife at my 25 week appointment but I'm pretty sure I didn't swell this much last time and if I did it was towards the end. There is still so long to go and urgh it's annoying and uncomfortable at times.

I haven't reached that stage yet but I read about putting liners or sanitary towels in the freezer?

Also got this! 32 weeks with baby number 2 and had it for a while. Definitely didn't have it last time. Fingers crossed it goes back to normal ( ish 😕) when baby is born!

Vulval varices- I got this really badly with DC2, from about 16 weeks. There was no cure other than to lie down. The good news is they disappeared almost immediately after the birth. Bloody awful at the time!
