HCG rise

Hello everyone

I had my HCG levels done on Friday and they were 6890. Had them repeated today and they are 9000 something (I didn't catch the exact number). I had a scan Friday too which didn't show a yolk sac so being re-scanned in two weeks.

Can anyone offer any reassurances over this rise? I have read that after 6000 it can take a little longer for them to double.

Still going out of my mind as had a MC last year.

Thank you

They do slow down above 6000 but at 9000 you should be able to see a heartbeat - how many weeks do you think you are?

Only 5 and a bit. Scan Friday just showed a gestational sac, no yolk. I wish the scan was this week Sad

You often don’t get visible heartbeat till about 6.3, and often no yolksac or feotal pole till 6 w. Scan was too early really but hcg looks good. Are you doing this privately by any chance?

Thanks @Yukka that's reassuring. It's NHS due to recent spotting and MC last year. I wish I'd never had it to be honest Sad

@nespresso I’ve had 3... know exactly how you feel. At this stage they would have more been checking it was in the right place ie not ectopic . Did they offer another scan? Usually don’t if you’ve ‘only’ had one mc. You can go private - checkout ultrasound direct. If you do id aim for 7w, or if you can wait then after 8w. Mc risk drops to 20% with heartbeat at 8wks.
It’s a long few weeks I know but stay positive. I’m due in 8weeks with no.1 despite all the challenges.

Thanks, again @Yukka Smile I'm sorry about your losses. I do have another scan on the 14th. I rang EPAU today and it was just over 9500 so that is better than I thought. I still have mega sore boobs so hoping for the best. I will be 7 weeks next week so hopefully they will see more 🤞🏻
