Weird shaped bump

I’m 24 weeks and my bump does not look like the lovely rounded bumps in lots of 24 week bump pictures I’ve seen. It’s almost shaped like a capital B - it is very rounded but goes in a little at my belly button then rounds out again above it (although not as much) Has anyone else experienced a similar shaped bump at this stage of pregnancy?!

It’s really common! Lots of women have a ‘B’ instead of a ‘D’ shaped bump, it’s totally normal, nothing to worry about.

For me 32-40 weeks was when the round bump came.
24 weeks, my bumps were sort of like mounds. Is this your first, OP?
I hardly had a bump at 24 weeks with DC1. And if you're tall, this too can contribute to having a smaller, less round bump at this stage.

Are you worried?

It’s usually to do with how your baby is positioned. Back to back babies often produce a B shaped bump. At your stage my bump changed shape a couple of times and at 37 weeks it has settled in the D shape.

@TheVanguardSix this is my first so I was thinking maybe that’s why it’s not a huge round bump yet, and I am fairly tall. Also at an earlier scan, I was told I had a thick band of muscle (pre-pregnancy kettle bell workouts!) so was thinking maybe that’s holding things in. Not hugely worried, just wanted to see if it was common at this stage. Thanks!

Hey! I’m also 24 weeks exactly today and have a b bump! I’m looking forward to the basketball bump if I get one as I don’t get many people comment about my bump 😥 I’m just more than happy with a healthy baby xxx

I have one too, sometimes it looks a little bit more D than B but mostly B... I don't know why.. would love a round bump haha in 22 weeks

@Melissa1215 same, my B is more pronounced some days then others. Would also love a round bump but as Babycakes says, as long as baby is healthy, I’m happy! I will mention it to my midwife next week though at my 25 week app to see what she says.
