Am I Pregnant?

Hi all, I had a miscarriage at the end of April at 11 weeks pregnant. We were told no TTC for two weeks in case of infection, but starting trying two weeks to the day. A week later I started to get similar pregnancy symptoms that I had my last pregnancy, and was thrilled last week to see that I was 1 - 2 weeks pregnant on a Clearblue test. I wanted to monitor that my hormone levels were rising, so did another test yesterday but it still said 1 - 2 weeks pregnant. I read the packet and realised I should have used first urine of the day, so tried again this morning and have had a not pregnant result. I’m so confused about whether or not I’m pregnant - I did a pregnancy test in the hospital two weeks after I miscarried and it said not pregnant. Any thoughts / advice much appreciated Smile

False negatives are a lot more common than false positives.

Give it a week and test again but don’t use a pregnancy test to monitor you levels. It won’t tell you anything useful and will make you anxious. Everyone’s levels vary and the dating on those tests is a guide not accurate.

So if you’re period is late and you’ve had two positive tests I would be confident that’s good news.

A pregnancy test can’t tell you you’ve lost a pregnancy as you know from your previous loss the hormones stick around.

Best of luck and fingers crossed for you xx

Thank you for replying Maddis136 and offering some reassurance, I’ll stay hopeful and try again in a week. Thank you xx
