I'm 19 weeks and I'm 99% sure I haven't felt any definite flutters or movement I know it's probably too soon for movement but every day that goes by I just get more and more anxious wondering if everything is ok 😔

Is it your first? I didn't feel my first until after that. You should have a scan booked first to put your mind at rest. Did the midwife listen to the heartbeat at the 16 week antenatal appt?

Do you know where your placenta is? Mine was anterior, like a blanket right over the baby at the front. I first felt something after my 20 week scan but it was like a very gentle swoosh, not how I’d imagined it at all. Within a few weeks DH could feel it and it happened every day, by the end it was proper kicking, but it took a while to get going. I’m sure everything’s going well in there, you’ll have your scan coming up soon which is exciting! Impossible I know but try not to worry Smile

@Cuppa12345 it's my 2nd baby and everything was ok at 16 weeks I think I'm just over worrying as I thought I'd have felt something by now with it being my 2nd 😔 I felt my daughter by now I'm sure

It's normal to not feel movements just yet and to feel anxious about it. Some women feel movements really early on, but many women don't feel anything until 20+ weeks. It's really hard not knowing what is going on in there, with any luck you'll start feeling those little flutters soon

Cherim90 · 01/06/2019 22:22

@AnneLovesGilbert thank you for your comment I'll try not to worry 😊 I've got a week until my scan ill wait until then I don't want to bug the midwife tbh xx

Cosmogirl86 · 02/06/2019 06:16

I didn't feel anything to 22 weeks and nothing regular until 24 weeks. And I have very wriggly twins!

I’m 20 weeks today and not felt anything yet. Heard heartbeat at 16 weeks and last week at specialist midwife appointment. They said they wasn’t at all conferenced I hadn’t felt anything yet.
This is my 3rd baby and I have anterior placenta again.
Had it my 14month old and felt movement with him a lot earlier than this which is why it’s made me anxious as would have thought felt earlier 3rd time but placenta is obv a lot more at front than last time.
Got my scan Wednesday so hopefully that will reassure me for about a day lol

I am 24 weeks with my first. I have a normal placenta and didn’t get my first flutter until just after my 20 week scan - please don’t worry. I know it’s all we do do but it will happen xxx

secretlyhermione · 02/06/2019 15:19

I also have an anterior placenta and felt baby kick at 20w1 day. Feeling some kicks throughout the day now. I wouldn't worry. Friend had anterior placenta and didn't feel anything until 24 weeks

tisonlymeagain · 02/06/2019 15:25

First pregnancy I didn't feel a thing until about 22/23 weeks.

Ribeebie · 02/06/2019 15:26

I didn't feel much at all until about 24-25 weeks. Not feeling anything at this stage is absolutely nothing to worry about.
