Hi all
How much have you ladies gained by 24 weeks or did you gain? I am in a bit of a state. I have gained 22 pounds already and was always petite and slim before. I am worried because the nhs recommends 28 to 35 pounds for the whole pregnancy. Is this possible?!

I'm at 20 weeks and have gained 17 pounds now Shock I keep hoping it'll slow down. I'm sure I didn't gain this quick for my first baby

I don't remember the exact amounts but I gained most in the 2nd trimester then not much in the 3rd

Its my first baby so I guess I dont know what to expect. Is it easy to lose once baby arrives?

I'd put on a whole stone by 10 weeks and then my weight gain slowed down (put on 3 stone in total). I had a completely healthy pregnancy and by 6 months post partum was back to the healthy 9 stone that I was before I got pregnant.

Everyone's an individual and our bodies all work in different ways. Please don't worry, it's completely healthy and normal to put on weight during pregnancy! Smile

Hi OP, I am 27 weeks today and put on 21 lbs so far! I wouldn’t worry about it, everyone is different.

I'm 24w and have gained 5kg (11lb), also my first baby, was size 6-8 before pregnancy.

Most of it seems to gone to my face though (which people love to comment on and) it makes me feel bigger than I am!

Check the weight gain chart according to your pre-pregnancy BMI - you might find that you're still within the limit. My obstetrician recommended gaining up to 15kg (33lb) in my case so you never know!

Yes I don't know why people think it is ok ti freely discuss pregnant ladies weight or what they are eating. It is so rude!
I can only wish I had gained 11 pounds. I am not even over eating so no idea what is going on!

Am 22+3 with twins and have gained 13lbs so far. According to the chart I saw regarding twin pregnancies I should gain 37-54lbs in total so think I’m doing pretty well!!
