Mums please help !!

I've lost my bag with my folic acid in. I'm 12 weeks in 5 days, but I don't want to chance not taking them. My doctors can't give me a prescription until Monday, however I have the 'seven seas trying to conceive' folic acid here. Would it be the same/effective taking these

Yep, fine unless you need to take a high dose (e.g. because of high bmi).

Iv never known anyone have to take high dose of folic acid because of bmi ! Is that a real thing?

You can get folic acid from anywhere cheap, as long as the conception vitamins don't have vit A your fine with those x

You don't need a prescription! Just go to any pharmacist or supermarket.

I never took it at all after 6 weeks because I couldn't keep it down. A few days short of 12 weeks I really wouldn't worry about

RMarieClaire · 31/05/2019 17:27

It's good to take but if you miss a few days you'll be absolutely fine! Please don't worry.

I'm convinced all the
conception/prenatal/postnatal are all the same pills in different colours.

What is the strength of the dose? You can could take something like pregnacare max (contains 200mg of folic acid the rest is folate so can build on it) on top of another plain folic acid supplement to get your high strength.
