Maternity "skinny" jeans

I'm nearly 15 weeks now and my normal jeans aren't doing up a bit tight so on to maternity jeans I go!

I've bought quite a few pairs from Dorothy Perkins, H&M, GAP and Boohoo and all apart from one "Ashley" pair from DP are really baggy on the legs even though I'm buying my normal size (12) and "skinny" styles. I'm fully expecting them to have room around the stomach but I'm not planning on putting the amount of weight needed to fill out the legs in all these jeans.

Has anyone got any they could recommend? I'm not looking for skin tight, but baggy knees is really not flattering...

Mothercare seemed to have nice styles but hardly any in my size available online Envy

I should probably say I prefer over bump ones...

My experience with maternity clothes and jeans was that nearly all of it was vanity sized and I needed one size smaller than usual, so maybe try a 10? The exception was H&M, where I needed at least 1 size bigger than normal.

I got some mamalicious ones from asos (not sure if these are the exact ones, think they are) which are good as they have elasticated side panels for bump room but no annoying buttons or flies to dig in. They are under the bump so they fit a small bump upwards (I'm only 20 weeks so don't know how they will work when I'm massive). You buy them in waist measurement and leg length rather than size so I haven't found them baggy at all. They seem to stay up well for under the bump jeans too x

MrFlibblesEyes · 31/05/2019 15:13

They have lots of over the bump too, just read your post properly!

ELJ1502 · 31/05/2019 15:16

New Look have some good ones and they do different leg lengths.

kgeal3 · 31/05/2019 15:51

I bought some topshop ones second hand from fb for £5. I thought if they don't fit how I like I'll re sell them at that price. They are called 'joni' and are perfectly skinny! I like skinny jeans rather than baggy and these stay skinny all the way down and no baggy knees. I'm a size 10 and these are true to size too with the nice stretchy comfy waistband. Hope that helps x

Thanks ladies Smile definitely some options here for me! I've got quite chunky legs anyway so surprised this is even an issue to be honest. First time for everything!!x

I hated all maternity jeans. The under bump ones fell down all of the time and the over bump ones looked ridiculous because the big band was always visible.

I just bought maternity trousers instead from ASOS, much preferred them.

Maddis136 · 31/05/2019 17:41

Seraphine jeans are good and I found plenty of skinny jeans in H&M that weren’t baggy (I’m a size 8 pre pregnancy). Also try ASOS.

Sleepnplay · 31/05/2019 20:03

I preferred the over bump ones too. I had a black pair for work from Mothercare, and 2 blue pairs - one H&M (i had to size up here too) and one from JoJo Maman Bebe. The JoJo ones were amazing!

Justanother123 · 31/05/2019 20:34

H&M do super skinny maternity jeans. I have 2 pairs and I live in them. They’re great!

roundligament · 31/05/2019 20:40

Paige maternity jeans Smile

HeartvsHead · 31/05/2019 20:41

As above you need the super skinny from h&m if you want fitted.

roundligament · 31/05/2019 20:42

Wish I had these in my pregnancy
I'm 35 weeks now and I only saw them last week which is such a shame as there is no point now
I've read amazing things about them

Topshop do over and under bump ones. I prefer under bump but they do both in all their styles so you get a good selection. I have 2 pairs and live in them.

BringMeThatHorizon · 31/05/2019 20:45

I found ASOS were the best. Had a couple of other pairs from Topshop/Next but they all kept on falling down.

Badabingbadabum · 31/05/2019 20:46

Two and a bit years ago with dd2 I bought some mothercare ones which were tiny. I was an 8-10 and had to get a snug 14! My favourites were New Look but that was a while ago.

Erialc80 · 31/05/2019 21:07

Seraphine jeans are really good, I have lived in mine. I bought mine on Ebay cheaply.

Refilona · 31/05/2019 21:10

I’ve got a pair of H&M super skinny and a pair of New look Jenna and I find the H&M ones much better. But at 15 weeks the belly band was a bit awkward, it’s a perfect fit now I’m 36 weeks as it’s tighter and stays up better.

ZippyBungleandGeorge · 31/05/2019 21:33

I liked the h and m ones and I've got scrawny chicken legs even when I put weight on, I bought a size smaller and tumble dried them!

ELM8 · 31/05/2019 22:08

Giving H&M a go next and I'll work my way through the others.. I've got a while to try I guess! Thanks all Thanks

Just to add that my most comfortable maternity jeans are from hennes and they're pretty skinny but I also have some good over the bump New Look 'Jenna' black skinnies that I got from ebay, and a remarkably good pair of skinny mat jeans from lidl. Bargain at £7.99!!

ceebeejeebies · 31/05/2019 22:17

Asos own brand and H&M were my favourite

TokenGinger · 31/05/2019 22:26

The best over bump jeans I've found are Matalan's version. Nowhere else agreed with me.
