Did you take CETIRIZINE in pregnancy? Is your baby OK?

Hi. I've had extremely itchy skin in the past few days. I remember I used to take the antihistamine Cetirizine hydrochloride when I had similar problems but I'm not sure I can take it now. (I'm 26 weeks pregnant). Have people taken it? How often and how much? Did it have any negative effects on the baby? Thanks

Loratidine and cetirizine are considered ok to take in pregnancy

I suffer from hay fever and discussed antihistamines with the doctor. He said as long as I take what I normally take at the recommended dose then it is fine

I took citirizine when I was pregnant with Dd due to a hive rash I used to get all the time.

Consultant said it was fine and it was better than clawing my skin raw.

Dd is 2 and absolutely fine.

I did. I asked Dr who said it's better for me to take them than have an asthma attack due to allergies.
I took just the normal daily tablet when I needed to.
