TMI! 7 weeks

Just wanting some advice!

I'm 7 weeks + 1 and ever since I've become pregnant all my bowel movements are quite loose!

Not ever been constipated and I hear that's more of a symptom than the opposite way! It's not diarrhoea but it's nearer to that. Sorry for TMI but I guess what I'm trying to get at, is this normal or do I need to see my GP? Forgot to mention it at my booking in appointment.

Thank you! ☺️

Hello, I have had this too and I am 8 weeks. Think it's normal in pregnancy and should settle down - that's what I've read anyway. (Here's hoping!)

I’m 8+1 and have had what you’ve described for the last 3 days accompanied with stomach cramps. I think I have always had a mild case of ibs so I’m wondering if it’s flaring up worse. They do say that putting back muscles out of place can also cause loose BM so could be that.
I haven’t mentioned it to anyone as I’m not sure there’s much anyone can do!

@MissSophieB397 I'm only 5w+4 but I've been having a similar experience for the past week or so. It's almost every time I go to the toilet I have a bowel movement but I think that's normal?

I have my booking appointment next week so going to put it on my list of things to ask, I'll let you know what they say!

Thank you for the responses! I'm not worried about it, I've read it can be from the vitamins I take (folic acid) and all that! Just wanted to see if anyone else has had it as most people I know who are preg have constipation, but I'm the other way out 😂 hopefully by my next trimester it might settle

I'm 6+2 and have had full on diarrhoea for the past 2 days, including last night having every sip of water I drank going right through me. Sorry if that's a bit graphic. I'm definitely ready for this to calm down a bit cos I really can't afford to miss any more work next week.

Hope everyone is feeling a bit better soon.

This was my first symptom - I was abroad and didn't realise, thought it was just the rich food til I found out. I'll tell you something even more TMI, I'm nearly 21 weeks now and I miss those days a lot Grin

I had this for a week or so in the first trimester. Since then it has gone in the other direction! So yes, I think it's normal

Been 4 years since I was pregnant but i remember having loose stools for about a total of 2 or 3 weeks during the early part of my 1st trimester too, I asked the gp and they said its normal.
