ClearBlue Week Detector Test - please help

Hello – I suppose I’m here to ask if anyone has experienced anything like what I’m about to explain. A few weeks ago, I did a ClearBlue week detection test and the results were 2-3 weeks, the following week the results were 3+ and have been the same up until today. When I tested around 1pm (GBT) it showed as pregnant 2-3 weeks, I tested half an hour later and the result was 3+ weeks. Has this happened to anyone else? Could I have a MMC? I currently have BV and so I’m taking the controversial antibiotic Metronidazole, so I’m slightly concerned that either the infection or the antibiotic could cause me to lose my baby ☹ Or could it be that a Balance Activ gel I used this morning could have passed slightly in my urine causing it to dilute and produce a lower result? I will do another test using my first urine in the morning and I suppose I should be hopeful that the test has now jumped back up to 3+ in the space of half an hour but I’m still super concerned and I suppose looking for some advice. If I was experiencing a miscarriage surely my HcG wouldn’t be detected as higher producing a 3+ week result half an hour later? Which result should I deem more reliable?

Stop testing thats my advice 1 test is enough, these tests dont tell u how far along etc u are they should be banned as they make women crazy.the only Way u know how far along u are is by a scan.x

I know – I feel like I’m almost obsessed with testing especially as I’m currently treating BV and have done the deadly thing of googling all the complications it can cause for a pregnancy, in a weird way ClearBlue has given me assurance that I’m not harming my baby whilst treating an infection. I just had a chat with my midwife she said to pay more attention to the pregnant rather than the weeks indicator, she has told me not to worry as I’m not experiencing any symptoms associated with a miscarriage and as I’m 8 maybe 9 weeks she would expect heavy bleeding / cramping. Phew! I must stop doing these tests and wait for my scan.

I know all the worries so i understand just dont make yourself crazy with testing,i only ever do 2 tests & just the cheap ones those seem to be the best. Just take it easy & wait for your scan,im sure everything will be fine.if your ever worried your midwife is always there xx
