Hi,

Currently 40 weeks today and I'm feeling ALOT of pressure down there, so much that i find it so hard to even turn over in bed or get up without feeling crampy. Is this normal?

My Midwife has been today and she attempted a sweep but my cervix was closed for business so no luck. Induction is now for a booked a week today.

Obviously baby is low and getting ready but this pressure can be so painful, it's worrying me. And the thought of having this for another week is scary.

Any remedies I should know about if it's normal and I'm being a wimp?

Tia

Hi OP

We're just giving this a bump for you.
Of course, we'd always advise seeking RL advice and support from medical professionals, too. Flowers

Ring your labour ward, it’s possible this is the beginning of labour.

I'm not sure, midwife was here and I'm nowhere near dilated so it's not that. I think baby's engagement is just causing more pain than expected? I have fairly new laparoscopy scaring, think it could have something to do with that?
