Omg, had piles for 5 months. They are better than they were (February was hell, awful). But they never resolve themselves. Have had Proctosedyl cream and supposities. It just numbs them. They never go. Been to GP 3 times now. At what point will she say, OK let a specialist look at them. Thanks to mumsnet forums I totally changed diet ie lots of plant based fibre, plus apricots daily. This helps but the critters never go. Sitting is uncomfortable... :(

Feel so sorry for you ☹️. Can you ask to see a specialist? Hope they clear up soon as I know from experience how terrible they are. Hugs

Thanks for posting... I have asked to see a specialist but got given more proctosedyl. Not doing the job at all. Mmm. Can't afford to go private...

Hi there!

I feel your pain. I had hemmaroids once before being pregnant and it was awful. At around 14 weeks it happened again! I used lots of different creams and eventually asked nurse for Ultraproct. it's what I had a few years ago when I had them bad. She said that they don't tend to prescribe that for hemmaroids now, but I persisted and got it and within 3 days they had virtually disappeared.

I would definitely ask to see another doctor and explain how it is effecting you and that you feel you need a surgical approach.

Hope you have a good day today, (use vapour rub on the external ones for some relief ) learnt that on mum's net. It's ideal for night time. X
