Has anyone had blood clots or pulmonary embolism during pregnancy?

I went to the GP yesterday after having what I thought was bad acid reflux/heartburn all weekend. Decided to get it checked out as I kept getting a sharp pain around my right collarbone when I swallowed or breathed in. Went to the GP thinking I'd be told to take heartburn medicine and go on my way...but the GP said I needed to go to hospital to rule out a PE.

I had a chest x-ray which came back fine but have to go back tomorrow morning for a scan. I've been given Inhixa to inject twice a day until my scan results are back (I hate needles so my partner has had to do it for me!). I'm trying to stay calm and distract myself but I'm really worried about what it could be and what impact it will have on my pregnancy. I had my second midwife appointment today and obviously she couldn't give me much reassurance without knowing either.

Has anyone else had this? What happened?

I have a clotting disorder and have been taking Inhixa daily since the embryo transfer to prevent blood clots. It doesn’t harm the baby at all and the reason why you are given it probably to ensure that any clots they can’t find (in the placenta etc) are broken down.

But if you don’t have any risk factors it’s all just as a precaution, but I’m guessing you probably do have some of them otherwise they wouldn’t have acted so quickly.
