I wasn't given anything by my midwife! Never even seen the Healthy Start ones 😳 I'm almost 22 weeks and still taking Pregnacare Plus - none of the consultants have questioned it or passed any comment/said I should be taking anything else so I'm just continuing as I am?

I'd keep taking the ones you bought, no point wasting them

They just gave you a freebie which contains the only specific vitamins that are recommended to be supplemented in pregnancy. It's up to you whether you take them or continue to take a multivitamin with more ingredients that you pay for. If you have a reasonably varied diet and no diagnosed deficiencies there's really no benefit to the other vitamins.

I would take the pregnacare personally. Pregnacare contains a lot of other good stuff that the Healthy Start ones don’t. Also Pregnacare’s formula is tied to the latest research while NHS guidance isn’t. For example it had added extra vitamins D and C years before the NHS recommended it. Calcium was added because supplementation is linked with better preclamsia outcomes. It also has B6 which can help with morning sickness.
