I’m a fairly big hipped size 12-14. I have noticed my waist thickening from 10-11 weeks. I’m 13 weeks now and while I don’t have a bump (except when I’m bloated in the evening) I definitely look bigger. I think I’ll probably get one of those weird bumps that wrap around the hips.

Was a size 14-16 5'8 when pregnant with 1st. 23yo. Bump didn't show until 18 weeks and grew slowly.

I was a size 14 and I didn't really start showing until week 22 but I'm on week 26 now and you wouldn't be able to tell from looking at me that I was pregnant, just a bit chubby haha.

I wonder why mine's so big then already Blush

It depends on the way each woman carries the baby. I very from day to day, even hour by hour. Some babies like to be out in front, others like to hide away at the back and grow up the spine. My bump changes all the time and sometimes I look 6 months pregnant like I am, sometimes I look maybe 4 months pregnant. Granted, I'm 2.5 stone heavier this pregnancy so I can't really tell what's bump and what's fat, but I definitely have a rounder stomach now.

I'm 19 weeks (20 tomorrow) with first baby and bump has popped only slightly. I can still hide it fairly well with clothes, it would probably be impossible to tell I'm pregannt if you didn't know, but when I wear tight stuff it's definitely more noticeable! Am also wondering when I will start to look more pregnant as getting annoyed at the constant comments of "what? you're pregnant? you don't look it at all!" Then again, am enjoing the time where I still have pretty much the same body and it's pretty easy to do everything I've always done.

hannah9176 · 29/05/2019 10:33

I was in size 10s until 20-21 weeks and she just popped out of nowhere! I'd say 17 weeks isn't early, in fact from 17 weeks I had major bump envy of everyone and was tired of being told "id never have guessed you were pregnant you don't look it at all!"

MrFlibblesEyes · 29/05/2019 10:33

I was a size 6-8 before pregnancy (although I'm only 5ft2) and I think I started showing a little around 16 weeks although it was probably mostly from my internal organs being shoved up higher as I could still suck it in a bit! 20 weeks today and there's no sucking it in anymore!

TerriB1984 · 29/05/2019 12:32

I had a noticeable bump by 12 weeks. Lots of people on here will say it can’t be a true bump that early and must be bloating but it was firm and didn’t change throughout the day. We chose not to tell people about the pregnancy until we’d had the 12 week scan but by then a fair few had guessed because of said bump. Currently pregnant with #2 and was the same this time round. For some reason I pop out early.

Fedoratheexploreer · 29/05/2019 12:33

I’m naturally slim but very small so at about 16 weeks I popped

Kinsters · 29/05/2019 13:25

I'm 9 weeks and got awful bloat and can't do up my jeans. Can't wait till I can tell people. At the moment I just feel and look fat. I'm pretty short and have a short torso so hoping I'll get a proper bump sooner rather than later.

Doubtoftheordinary · 29/05/2019 14:09

OP I'm almost the same gestation as you with my first baby and definitely have a noticeable bump. It does change a little from day to day / throughout the day, so some of it must be bloat, but it never goes away completely so it's obviously mostly baby (or things moving to make room for baby). It's noticeable enough that people have started commenting on it.
I'm also naturally slim (5'7" size 8-10) but have never had a very toned abdomen; I read that you show earlier if that's the case as you don't have firm enough abs to hold everything in Blush Not saying that's necessarily the cause in your case!

marinova · 29/05/2019 15:19

I'm week 23 and just look bloated and chubby. Not a proper bump yet but I'm 5'8 size 12/14 which may be why

PugPupsMum · 29/05/2019 15:27

A little bit around 22 weeks, I'm now 25 weeks and its still not obvious in loose fitting clothes.

I was a pre-pregnancy size 10, weirdly in Maternity clothes I'm a size smaller, which is nice :)
