35 week low twinges

I think baby has dropped a bit, do you start to get twinges when this happens? I keep getting really brief on and off irregular period pains. I have spd so I wonder if the pain in the front is perhaps linked to that but it definitely feels more twinge like than the previous constant ache of spd. I have never had Braxtons hicks before but I presume that's when my stomach is going tight whereas this isn't like that and just really low twinges/tightening/twists. Is this what it feels like to have baby lower down there? I'm 35 weeks

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I have had this from just before 34 weeks. Was actually bad enough to make me think I was in labour! Midwife said baby had dropped and as I don’t have v wide hips I was feeling it a lot more x

Ah so it's the baby getting more into position that we can feel?

That’s what I was told, I had a mw appt 2 days after it started and baby had dropped down more. Also had 3 people mention bump looked lower & had dropped that week too x

I'm 35 weeks too and have had similar this week. 2 nights ago I was having strong period pains every 20 mins or so lasting about 30 seconds a go for a few hours and then random ones every now and then since.
It also hurts when I walk like a stubby pain in my cervix but from the inside out IYSWIM!

I can't remember having this with previous pregnancy but that was twins and I had been in hospital for weeks on bed rest by this point.

pancakes22 · 29/05/2019 16:17

@TrixieFranklin oo the internal stabs are the worst!

@Diane0313 that's so funny you should say that, today I have been going hot and cold all day getting these hot flushes! Looks like it's another pregnancy thing. Totally with you just wanting this to be over!

I’ve also had the period type pains, actually thought I was going into labour at 6.30am the other morning in the middle of a field walking the dogs lol. I was literally saying out loud not now not now not now! Lasted all day, the next day it wasn’t as bad then it just stopped. x
