I keep getting really strong sharp pains inside my vagina that stop me in my tracks, I don't remember having them with my first pregnancy, hoping it's not the start of an infection or anything. I'm at the midwife on Monday just wondering if anyone had similar and if it turned out to be anything?

Ah, lightening crotch! I've had this. Hurts like hell but I think is just one of the normal joys of pregnancy!

I had it from about 22 weeks, never any problems - just another pregnancy joy

Thanks all really appreciate it, was having a panic it might be start of a water infection or something, or even worse early labour as DP is on a stag do in Amsterdam this weekend and I could see him panicking a bit when I got one!

hasn't been as bad today as I have been in work sat at my desk, it's defo worse when I have being running after a toddler all day

Had them on and off in both pregnancies of mine. Totally normal. I've been told it's the babies head rubbing on your pelvis but not sure how true that is!!

Sometimes it feels like they are trying to scratch themselves out of there. It's horrid!
