Braxton Hicks?

My uterus/belly goes really tight for a few seconds then relaxes not very often but has happened a couple of times today. Is this Braxton Hicks and is it normal to have this at 19 weeks?

Yes sounds like it. Mine started at 18 weeks I think.

So they’re normal this early?

Very normal , mine started round 16 weeks, and I'm now 38 weeks and still get the very regularly. Nothing to worry about, but if your are ever worried about anything you should consult your midwife, Smile good luck xx

I’ve also had occasions where my entire abdomen goes hard then relaxes but it’s not painful which I’ve been noticing since around 17/18 weeks only couple of times a week and not for long but very noticeable. My midwife had asked me at my 16 week appointment if I had noticed any tightenings and said they can often be felt from around that point onwards so perhaps subconsciously I’ve been looking out for them.
