TTC and have flo for 6 days

Been TTC for four months, no success so far. Last month I started tracking ovulation and we dtd a few times during the fertile period according to the app I’m using. Aunt Flo came early, bringing me to a 25 day cycle instead of my usual 27/28. I did a test on the day AF arrived and got a bfn. But now ive has my period for 6 days instead of the usual 3. I’m not sure what’s going on. Has this happened to anyone before? It’s not normal for me to have such a long period. Could it have been a very early miscarriage?

Just a bit of advice on having sex a few times around fertile period, I would widen your window. I tried this and it just didn’t work. We widened our net and scrapped tracking ovulation as I wasn’t having any success with it. I had sex every other day from 1 week after my period to the end of my cycle and both times we conceived that month. That was after trying to track ovulation for 4 months beforehand with my daughter. You need a constant supply of sperm there ready to meet the egg so at least once every 2 days, if not every other day if you can manage it.
With my second I didn’t even bother tracking ovulation. I just knew roughly how long my cycle was and again a week after my period (maybe less) we had sex every 1-2 days and then thought I was coming on and nope.. was implantation bleeding and I was pregnant. Really shocked me as it was our first try this pregnancy. Would definitely recommend to anyone who doesn’t have any problems but it struggling to conceive. Definitely worth trying and although it tiring (been with DH 10 years so we aren’t at it like rabbits!) it was worth it for sure!

Thanks Blondiejay! That sounds like good advice. Every month I try not to obsess over looking for symptoms, but every month I do. If this period ever stops we’ll start doing what you suggested :) X

Best thing I did. All the bloody ovulation tests I took! Said I wasn’t even ovulating. Useless and months wasted.
Hope it works, I really do. If you’ve ovulate next month, it’s pretty guaranteed that if there’s always sperm there waiting you’ll get pregnant 🥰
