Brown spotting?

Morning all. My my ovulation dates I'm about 4.5 weeks pregnant. I haven't yet spoken to the docs as it took me a few days to believe it and then it's been the weekend. I've had brown spotting almost continually for the past few days. Only when I wipe, but then yesterday it seems to get slightly heavy (still not enough for pantyliner or anything though). Just before bed it possibly had a slight rusty tinge to it. It's definitely back to brown now.

I called the out of hours maternity triage and spoke to a lovely midwife yesterday afternoon who said that if it got much heavier, red, or I had pain to go to a+e to rule out an ectopic. But that otherwise I just needed to wait and book in with the doctor tomorrow.

I'm just wondering if others have had this and gone on to have healthy pregnancies, or if it's looking like this one isn't going to stick?

Hi I’m about 6 weeks I had a transvaginal scan today as I was spotting brownish blood for the past week and yesterday I had fresh blood when I wiped myself. They could find an heart beat as it’s too small yet and I’ve been told to wait it out until next week. I’m not cramping just aching i feel sick sometimes but sometimes I don’t feel anything im it’s not my first pregnancy but this is the first time I have been spotting and feeling this way.... I haven had any bleeding today but just now I have had brownish small treads like but nothing heavy. Sorry I'm no help atm will be able to tell u more after next scan but I have read up that's some people have healthy pregnancy even with spotting so just stay positive
