Hi there

I have just found out that one of my friend's is pregnant and I am thrilled for her and her partner.

I want to start putting a hamper together for her /the baby and wondered what the most useful / best items to include would be?

Thanks!

for the mum to be:
stretchmark cream
preggie morning sickness drops
a voucher off groupon for a pregnancy massage

the baby (some unusual things but things i was very grateful for with my first):
bath thermometer
a baby temperature thermometer

or if you want to just get a gift, a subscription of nappies will go down amazingly well x

For her stock up the fridge with nice snacks and the freezer with cook meals (not a hamper I know).

For baby, voucher for getting a foot cast keepsake or similar.

It depends what you think is useful really. I'd say most useful items (and items which are still used now at 22m):-

Muslins (still use them now with a toddler for wiping down wet play equipment, mopping up spills etc)
Reusable wipes (I use bamboo wipes from Little Lamb - so much easier than using a billion wet wipes)
Baby set from Tommee Tippee (which included a soft hairbrush and nail clippers which I still use daily/weekly)
Safety cotton buds
Board books

For mum what about a JustEat or similar gift voucher.

Not useful as such, but I really missed wine and good cheese whilst pregnant - a small bottle of champagne and a wheel of Camembert were my favourite gifts for me!

Best baby gifts were large soft muslin cloths, lots of uses. Jojo Maman Bebe or Aden & Anais do lovely printed ones.
