Yanked hard by dog

I was just sitting with my dog in a park and she suddenly spotted another dog and ran at full pace to get to it.
She’s 20kg and yanked my whole body! I didn’t fall but it gave me a big jolt.
I feel fine and I’ve felt the baby move since but I’m a bit worried now....I haven’t met my midwife yet (I’ve seen lots of different ones at hospital) so don’t feel like I call anyone.
I am 22 weeks with a “high risk” of pre-term labour.
Anyone had anything similar happen? I know falls are the dodgy things...not sure if being yanked is dangerous?!

Thanks

It doesn't sound especially dangerous. Why are you at risk of preterm labour? If it's your cervix I would get checked because you need the reassurance. Otherwise I wouldn't be too concerned.

Hi

Yes it’s due to 2 previous lletz procedures and therefore a risk of shortening cervix.
I’ll see if I can find a number for the midwives at the hospital and call them to check.

Thank you!

You should have contacts in your maternity notes if you want to call someone for reassurance.

It's unlikely to cause issue. During my last pregnancy my 25kg dog regularly jumped up on my bump (excitable pup), near pulled me off my feet but all was fine. If baby is still moving I suspect all is fine - you might have some aches as a result though but all should be well :)
