Hello!

Recently I have had diarrhea which obviously comes with the bad tummy pains.

Is this normal, and when should I begin to worry?!

Also - any suggestions to calm an upset tummy?

How far are you? Do you have a bug? Just make sure to stay hydrated. Drink ginger ale or ginger tea. If you keep going to loo w diahorea then make sure to drink water w sugar and salt you can buy from chemist or sainsbury I’ve seen. It helps rehydrate.

I'm wondering the same.
I'm 6 and a half weeks and have been feeling unsettled for almost a fortnight on and off.
Look after yourself OP. Brew

I had a dodgy tummy a lot in my first trimester, usually first thing in the morning. Still get it sometimes now. I found eating plain carbs helped with the tummy cramps. The cramps were bad but then passed once I'd been to the loo! As long as you're drinking lots and it's not constant, you should be ok but if you're worried, see your GP.

I've had the same thing, for 2 weeks now. When I did a search on here there were lots of posts about it so I think it's quite common!

@Mamabear12 @LolaSmiles @BeckyHS @moomin11 thank you so much for the advice!! It's so reassuring I'm not the only one! 🤦🏼‍♀️ I'm 9 weeks, 10 weeks on Tuesday 😬 hope you're all getting through it okay xx

I had his a bit in trimester 1. Now I'm second trimester and experiencing it again. Rang the midwife who didn't seem concerned but said to see a GP if I was worried Confused such confusing times!

I had it loads at various points during both pregnancies, with bouts of constipation in between. Pregnancy can do all sorts to your bowels 😖

ppwonar · 26/05/2019 22:26

I had this from about 7 weeks to approx 18 in this pregnancy. Now 21. It was horrendous, woke every morning with bad cramps and had to run to toilet and regularly through the day. It has definitely eased off now bar the odd occasion but I hated the whole experience. No medics seemed that concerned and I did do a stool sample about 8 weeks because of some other symptoms but it came back fine.

Hi Ladies, I'm currently 28 weeks pregnant, first child. I have also had an upset tummy, diarrhoea & constipation Blush, particularly in the first trimester. Was awful! So i can sympathise with the OP.
My suggestion is to try avoid carbs, it helped me as didn't feel as bloated. And yes- plenty of fluids to make sure you are hydrated

I’ve had an upset stomach on and off for about a week now. It’s really getting me down, one day I’ll be fine then the next just feels really churny and upset. New symptom today got like a lump in my throat which is making me feel sick. I guess it’s a mixture of hormones, things moving around the body and sluggish bowels??? X
