Friday night I did a cheapy test, posted it on here and everyone said positive.
Then yesterday late afternoon I tried a frer and it came back negative? Please advice.

In early pregnancy you are much better off testing with first early morning urine. It's more concentrated so when the pregnancy hormone level isn't high you're more
Likely to get an accurate result.

Later in the day the urine may be very dilute

Mandala6 · 26/05/2019 08:57

Get a test and do it with your first urine of the morning. Most accurate result.

TrixieFranklin · 26/05/2019 09:00

How many DPO are you?

Unlucky2015 · 26/05/2019 09:00

So is it possible that the faint positive wasn’t right?
It’s strange because it was night time I got it then.
Or are sometimes cheaper better?
I am going to test again Wednesday first wee of day.
I only took my last pill 3 weeks ago x

It may have been a nighttime positive bug if you'd drunk less your urine would be more concentrate

Unlucky2015 · 26/05/2019 09:13

What’s that mean? Night time positive bug? X
Just don’t get why I’d get a faint positive then a negative on a frer d

So am I or aren’t I? I’m so confused

OP posts:
PrayingandHoping · 26/05/2019 09:27

No one can tell u for sure. It may have just been that your urine was more
Concentrate when u got your positive so picked up the hormone and it was too dilute to detect when you got the negative. Test again first thing in morning

PrayingandHoping · 26/05/2019 09:28

Bug was meant to be but

Curlywurly3 · 26/05/2019 09:29

No one here can answer that question unfortunately. You just need to wait a couple more days and use your first wee of the day. First Response are the most accurate tests. Good luck

Unlucky2015 · 26/05/2019 09:58

This is mind mashing

What colour was the dye on the cheapy test? Just that blue dye tests are more likely to give false positives than pink dye ones.

overthehorizon · 26/05/2019 10:03

Wee on more sticks.

False positives are very rare by the way.

Go to the shops and get a posh one. Wee on it.

sheshootssheimplores · 26/05/2019 10:08

False positives honestly aren’t rare at all. On those cheap dip tests I would test faint positive so often on those when I was a crazed pee dipper and would invariably not be pregnant.

I would always trust a branded test with FMU. You can of course get a good positive and still get your period, that sadly is a chemical and I had one last month frustratingly.

Unlucky2015 · 26/05/2019 10:13

Pink and the line came up within a couple of minutes x

OP posts:
Unlucky2015 · 26/05/2019 10:17

It wasn’t the dip one it was the plastic sticks you pee on x

OP posts:
Eliza9919 · 26/05/2019 10:20

Are u sure it wasn't an evap line?

Unlucky2015 · 26/05/2019 10:23

I’m sure it had a tinge of pink, and everyone on here also said positive and I only left the test 3 minutes until I checked and it said 3-5 x

The NHS on 'false' positives. Very rare:

Unlucky can you post the pic again or link to the thread where you posted it?

mistermagpie · 26/05/2019 10:46

How many dpo are you? I had a mix of negatives and positives for quite a while and was definitely pregnant.

I'd test again with a first response early response. They are the most sensitive. If that's negative then it's either the test you posted was an evap or you've had a possible chemical pregnancy.

When was af due?

Unlucky2015 · 26/05/2019 11:28

I don’t know that’s problem, I took my last pill just over 3 weeks ago so not sure as to when I’d be due on x

OP posts:
VenusStarr · 26/05/2019 11:35

Have you had your withdrawal bleed?

If it's a chemical, if expect to bleed within a few days. If no bleeding I'd say the other test was an evap.

It could also be its a bit early but I would be surprised if a cheap test was positive and a first response was negative. I'd always trust the frer.
