I was feeling pregnant a few day so back - sore boobs mainly, which is not a typical symptom when I’m due on. I’m a born worrier, so to ease my mind I bought a clear blue early detention test. Took the test yesterday morning and had an immediate big blue line appear... I was shocked but did sit there grinning for a good 10 minutes before I woke to tell my husband.
We already had 3dd - one at secondary school, one heading there in September, and our rainbow baby who is now 7 years old. We TFMR in 2010, and after the birth of our youngest in 2011 we felt our family was complete.
Although neither myself or my husband were particularly upset about our surprise result yesterday, I am beginning to worry today.
Our angle dd we had to say goodbye to in 2010 had hypo plastic left heart syndrome which was a complication from Turners syndrome. I was 29 when I was carrying her. Although we went on to have a healthy DD a year later, I’m very aware of my age and the risks that come with being an older mum. I’m 38 now, am quite a bit heavier than when I was younger (around 11 1/2st now). I know it’s still early days but I’m really beginning to worry.
Until I can see my GP and get into the maternity referral, I’m just reaching out here for a bit of hand holding and support x
