6 weeks Cramping and Bleeding

First post. In currently approx 6 weeks pregnant with my 2nd child. First pregnancy was a breeze. This time I've had wind like pains all week, and very light discharge when going to toilet. On Thursday I had an early pregnancy scan and sonographer was happy with what she seen, sac and contents. Last night I had cramping and bright red blood when I wiped, which has continued all day today. EPU is closed until Tuesday with the BH. Theyve told me to rest, which I'm doing, but totally petrified that the cramps and bleeding are a bad sign. It is only when I wipe, none falling onto pad. Has anyone experienced this and went on to have a successful pregnancy?

You will find women who have had this and all has been fine and women who progressed on to a miscarriage. Sorry, not very helpful! But its true. My friend had pads soaked with blood and baby was fine. But others, it turned out to be a miscarriage. I had spotting around when my period was due, but pregnancy has progressed. It sucks spotting or bleeding during pregnancy because it makes you worry so much. Sucks even more when this happens during a long weekend and the wait seems so long!

I could have written this exact post OP I'm sorry you are going through the same thing, my last pregnancy was so easy too! Keeping everything crossed that all is ok for you.

I'm so sorry you're having such a worrying time. I had bleeding at around 6 weeks with my baby and everything was okay, but I think the only way to know is to go to your early pregnancy unit as soon as you can. I know just how scary it is and I'm sending you all my very best wishes.

I’m really sorry you are going through this. This has happened to me twice and both times had a different outcome. Last time unfortunately I did lose the baby however the same thing happened with this pregnancy and all was ok & I’m now 20 weeks. Fingers crossed you can get scanned at EPU on Tuesday & all will be fine x
