Alcohol in mouthwash

I’m been using a mouthwash that I didn’t realise had alcohol in. I had no idea to even check and now feel very silly and worried. Do you think much damage has been done? I’m 15 weeks.

You’re not meant to swallow mouthwash!

If you used it to clean your mouth, and spat it out, absolutely nothing will have happened to baby.
Please stop worrying so much.

Even if you swallowed it it is such a small amount (unless you were drinking the whole bottle!) that there is honestly nothing at all to worry about.

People choose to drink actual alcohol during pregnancy, a bit of mouth wash isn't even a comparable amount. Don't worry yourself.

No. Nothing has happened.

It’s only a problem if you drink the stuff; but if you’re doing that you will have worse issues to worry about.

Have you been drinking it? I read about a girl who used to eat vicks during her pregnancy, it was a weird craving called pica.
I had it with tarmacadam and fire lighters but I just upped the multivitamins because I was definitley short of something and that was causing the cravings.

Thank you for the helpful replies. I would have only swallowed a tiny bit if I’d had a drink of water after so guess I’ll try not too worry! So many random worries when pregnant. Hope I’m not alone! X
