Is it too early to tell if I’m pregnant?

I came off the pill on 29th May and was still on my period. I am now roughly 4 days post ovulation and approx 6-9 days post sex.
I have tested positive on several tests but worried this is a false positive and don’t want to tell anyone even my partner incase it is. It would make me roughly 3.5 weeks pregnant. Has anyone else tested positive this early? Should I wait until I have actually missed a period as I don’t know if they are regular or not having been on the pill for years.
I have read information that says you can only test positive once implantation has occurred and this is when your classed as being pregnant. As a first time of trying to conceive and not having many friends in this position I don’t have others to ask.

People get positives at 3+5 weeks Smile And if you've tested positive on multiple tests then they can't all be wrong

Presuming you meant 29th April op?
Surely you can find out as early as 10/11dpo so I would of thought you would definitely be getting an accurate answer after 3.5 weeks ?

I tested positive at 3+4, very faint but it was definitely there on several tests! Tested every day and the line kept getting darker. Fingers crossed for you 🤞

Yea I meant 29th April! It's not even 29th May yet, oops.

Yes I actually woke up 7dpo (cd21) with sore boobs and just knew I was pregnant, I waited a few days to test but it was positive at around 3+4.
I'll add that I'm having twins so I could have had higher levels of HCG etc but I did also find out early with my singleton pregnancy too.

I think you must have ovulated earlier than you think. 7DPO is the very earliest for a positive test.

I was thinking the same - that maybe you ovulated earlier than you thought. Were you doing ovulation tests? Or going by an app? Coz the apps can deffo be wrong. They’re just an estimate!
I got a positive 9dpo and was so surprised coz that’s v early.
But basically bottom line is you have positive pregnancy tests so you must be pregnant!! Great news!!! Congratulations!!!!

I was using 2 apps but also did an ovulation test and know we had sex roughly a couple of days before.
Ok so sounds like I'm definitely pregnant then Smile amazing!

Yes, I've been pregnant 3 times - always a pretty strong positive at 3.5 weeks. Congratulations!
