Doctors note - work from home

I’m currently 26 weeks pregnant and am currently commuting into the centre of London everyday.

Fortunately my job allows me to work remotely from home with relative ease. Unfortunately, I have a boss who throughout my term has proven to be less than considerate and in some instances darn right obnoxious. So I was thinking to force their hand by asking for a doctors note to work at home, citing the obvious risks of commuting on extremely busy commuter lines.

Have others tried a similar thing, if so what are your experiences

I have a condition whereby my mw / GP didn’t feel comfortable with me travelling until my pregnancy notes were updated by a specialist - My boss, however, didn’t view my working from home as a big deal and doesn’t mind me doing going from home for the entire pregnancy if required. But, and this is important, I have proven myself and am also a bit of a workaholic from home - so he can trust I’ll get the work done.

You should ask your gp and see what their opinion is...
Sorry to hear your boss is so unsympathetic.
I have a 1 hour drive each way to work and my employers have been very good and I'm WFH every second day. It's making a huge difference to me. I didn't even ask them for this, they suggested it
