Sciatica help

I’m 27 weeks with my second child and in so much pain. I get shooting pain in my buttocks, the front of my legs until the knee and down the left hand side hip and thigh. I think I have sciatica but I’m going for a hospital appointment today to confirm. I just want to cry every time I move. Has anyone had/got this? Any advice? Sleeping on my left is horrendous and moving in general but it’s worse if I don’t move.

Oh you poor thing. I had sciatica during pregnancy. I found warm baths with a little lavender or rosemary helpful. Perhaps ask about physical therapies (a chiropractor or something). I found it was dismissed as "one of those things that some women have to put up with in pregnancy" which was pretty typical of the time 30 years ago.
