Really Really Really sharp lower abdomen pains - Lightning crotch?

Hi - 30 weeks pregnant, and whilst I've had these weird pains for a while, they seem to be getting worse and every description of possible 'labels' don't quite cut the mustard.

The pain is what I might reference as lightning pain, in that its a split second, but by god does it hurt. Completely takes your breath away and can leave you doubled over for a few minutes. It must be a nerve, its not muscular or ligament type pain.

none of what I read seems to match the severity. I'm assuming that as baby is getting bigger, and more cramped, that is why it might be getting worse.

Babe is currently breech so it would be caused by bum or bendy legs.

Does anyone recognise this pain? With midwife on Thursday but just wondered if anyone can relate. Perhaps I'm doing too much or something.

I usually refer to them as fanny daggers, a short sharp pain that goes away pretty quickly.

From what I can tell it's baby leaning on a nerve or something.
I'm currently 39+3 and it's less fanny daggers now and more a nerve that makes my whole left leg feel weird!

thanks @wooglecone, fanny daggers is a good description!

I think baby might have moved slightly up a bit over night as I've not had any so far today (famous last words) but the kicks seem much higher, so perhaps its moving from breech. Midwife tomorrow, I'll see if she can tell :)
