Can somebody give me some good news stories they've had please.

Started spotting on Friday and have been on and off ever since and just been to the toilet to notice I have again. Only really light all times.

Went to the EPU on Saturday to be told I am only 5.5 weeks and not 6.1 as I'm supposed to be from LMP.

They said everything looked fine, there was a yolk sac but no baby. I am due back a week on Friday but would like some positive outcomes, if any, of other people experiences.

Thanks Smile

5.5 weeks is really early to be seeing anything. That you can see a yolk sac is positive. Just hang in there. It often takes until 7-8 weeks before you can see the entire embryo plus heartbeat.

As for spotting it can be normal. Especially after a transvaginal scan. But if you bleed bright red or the spotting gets worse contact EPU every time.

Sometimes people spot or bleed during pregnancies and all is fine. The problem is, sometimes its not fine and progresses to more. The waiting game is the hardest part. My first two pregnancies no spotting. This one I had some spotting when my period was first due and then again, when my second period would have been due. But it was just one wipe. It stills cared me though for days and I would go to the toilet all the time to wipe and check. I still get worried. But it does seem my belly is growing...im 9 weeks. I had a 6 week scan and saw baby with heartbeat. And now waiting a week for 10 week scan. I get scared of every scan, until after 20 weeks, then I relax a bit.

Good luck. Try and rest when you can. And just remember, loads of women have spotted and bled during pregnancies, and all was fine. So try not to worry. I know easier said then done!

I had the same situation. Bright red bleeding (bleeding then spotting) at what I thought was 8 weeks. Went to the EPU and was told I was only 5/6 weeks and the Yolk Sac was there. She said everything was fine and the bleeding is most likely implantation bleeding.

Last Thursday I had another scare, I'd had some brown spotting for a few days and then heavy dark red bleeding all day Thursday. I'd also had some pains the day before, and period like cramping.

Went to the EPU again, and had another scan, and there was my little Jelly Baby, 9 weeks, heartbeat fluttering away. She said the bleeding was most likely Polyps (I forget the official name) which can be caused by a few factors, one being constipation. But she said she had 5 other women in that day with the same issue, and they were all fine too :)

Try not to worry until you are seen again. Fingers crossed for you
