I went for an early scan this morning and the foetus is measuring 8w 2d which matches my dates, great!. He also informed me that I have a bicornuate uterus. Something which hasn't been identified on my previous 2 full term pregnancies and my mmc. He did state that he has only ever seen a bicornuate pregnancy occuring in either one horn or the other and as mine was in the centre he was unable to tell me whether this pregnancy would survive. Now obviously, I have had two previous successful pregnancies and no way of knowing where I carried. My question is; those of you with a bicornuate uterus, if you knew you were carrying a central pregnancy (not in either horn) was it successful? I'm simply looking for a little reassurance. TIA X

Guessing as it's rare there may not be any experience of this out there, bumping for a final shot.

I found with my son i had a BU due to bleeding at 6 weeks. Im 8 weeks with number two and had a scan at 7 weeks but was internal so i couldnt see where little bean is positioned. I have another scan next week and hoping theyll go external so i can see where. I ovulated on the left with him and he was in that side and this ones from the right so interested to see position x

I have a BU and my current pregnancy is in the left horn so unfortunately cant help with advice about implantation on the middle section but just wanted to offer reassurance really - I've been so worried the whole time but I'm well into my second trimester now and all is going well so far.
I really hope your pregnancy goes well... Good luck with it all.

Thanks for your reply @Sleepycat91 Glad your pregnancy is going well. Would you be happy to update once you've had your scan? Would also be interested to find out where your little bean has settled. X

Yeah of course i can! My son was prem and i have had recurrent chemical miscarriages so consultant lead this time. Although they said my BU wouldnt be visable on my 12 week scan with my son and it was and 20 weeks its clear he has very little room x
