Hi all,
I’ve been spotting since Thursday (5 days now) and have an early scan tomorrow. It’s only when I wipe but it’s enough to show on the tissue.

I’ve passed a couple of thumb nail size brown sticky clots/mucus yesterday and today. Has anyone else experienced this?
If yes was your baby ok?

I’m so scared that I’ve listed my baby, this is my first pregnancy Sad

Hi dig, I had this and even passed clots that were the size of grapes between about 13 and 15 weeks -my dd just turned 13 Smile It is incredibly worrying though but hopefully thr scan will be reassuring xx

I experienced in in 2 pregnancies, one was a mmc and the other a healthy baby so i really do think sometimes you just bleed for no reason. Bleeding can happen and generally it's bright red blood that's a problem.

When is your scan?

Have u gave your midwife a call? Its best to have a chat with her. I had a bleed at 14wks before & my baby was fine x

motheroftinydragons · 20/05/2019 09:56

I had this brown spotting with my first, and I had several instances of light bleeding early on with my second, in fact I had it on and off up to sixteen weeks.

I've now got a three year old and a 9 month old.

Always get checked out, every time you have it but light bleeding is really common. Try not to panic.

I had this with my first at around 9 weeks. Midwife told me it was most likely due to placenta forming and taking over. Was told to rest and not worry. It's likely all fine, and hopefully all will be well at your scan tomorrow Thanks

Sorry haven’t got back sooner.
So day of my early scan I started bleeding red blood. After having a nightmare about having a miscarriage.

At the scan they confirmed I was indeed having a miscarriage as the baby stopped growing at 6 weeks.

When I spoke to my midwife after posting this she just said rest that was it, not at all reassuring or helpful.

Oh DigiEm I'm so sorry for your loss. Miscarriage is fucking shit.

Do you have support? How is the bleeding now? Your GP should be able to help more and sign you off work if you want it.

Hi,

My husband has been amazing and when he’s not been able to be at home, my mum has been around.

I’ve been signed off for two weeks by the hospital. Had my return scan today and they confirmed everything has passed which is a positive. Tested me for an urine infection though as I said I keep having the urge to pee and it hurts when I do. She wasn’t sure if this was normal or not 😕

The bleeding has been like a light period throughout, pains are out of this world though! When I passed the biggest clot I was throwing up with the pain and I called the hospital to ask if vomiting was normal or did I need to be seen and they said your probably got a bug as well, we don’t need to see you! Thankfully once the large clot passed I was instantly better!

That's great that you've got good support around you and that they've signed you off. Hopefully they wil get an answer on the UTI and some antibiotics will be forthcoming from the doctor.

I'm glad you are starting to feel better physically.

Thanks.

Today was first full pain free day and I enjoyed a morning out with my husband.

Felt like a naughty school girl skipping school haha

That's great that the pain is gone and you had a nice day with your husband. Grin on the feeling naughty

DigiEm · 09/06/2019 07:10

Started bleeding again after like a week of it stopping.

Has anyone experienced this?

I had both of those experiences and my son is now in his 20s 😊
I hope things settle for you.
