Hi there I am currently 14 weeks pregnant with my second baby had a scan 4 days ago and everything was fine. But I have just had some brown bleeding that was heavier than spotting but no clots. I rang the doctor who said not to worry and to wring the early assessment unit in the hospital in the morning.

I am really worried as I have never had this before and just wondering if anyone has experienced this ?

Hi, I've had a few bleeds in the pregnancy. It's my fourth and I am currently 18 weeks. I have had at least a bit of blood how you have described at least as often as once a week.
It's so scary I know and so hard to stay positive but it is common and unless it's paired with cramping and it's getting heavier the midwives and doctors I've asked aren't at all worried about it as they see it so often. I do know how hard it is but do stay positive. There was a great thread on here that comforted me to read and it was positive bleed stories and I realised how common it was when I read so many women saying they had bleeding throughout a pregnancy and it ended happily. All the best op xxx

Thank you for replying..your message has put me at ease a bit hopefully everything is ok but ya it is very scary when it happens ! We had just told family today and I have held off telling anyone else now until I speak to the hospital tomorrow. I have looked it up online and it seems to be common enough I just need to try and relax now though it's hard to not think of the worst !
