I thought i was 8 weeks but only 6 weeks 3 days?

Hi all,

First baby and I calculated I was 8 weeks exactly, had a private scan as I was sure 7 PT were kidding me on LOL🤭... however sonographer informed me baby is 6 weeks 4 days and measuring 6.4mm (this was on wednesday this week)

I calculated the date of first day of my last period which was 22/03/19 which would make me 8 weeks exactly on wednesday when I had the scan? (now 8 weeks 3 days)

Strange🤔 anybody else have a similar experience or can shed some light 🙋🏾‍♀️

Yes very common especially early on. I had scans at 6 weeks, 10 weeks and 12 weeks and each one gave us a different EDD.
Your official due date will be given to you based on the 12 week NHS one.

I kind of thought this, also I look like I am about 5 months pregnant not even being a drama queen is this normal ?? Im usually a size 10/12 quite a normal build but legit I have went massive so quick around the stomach and the baby I believe is suppose to be the size of a raisin ??😂

There's a lot of bloating, gas and water retention in early pregnancy!

It will hopefully regulate and you should ‘pop’ in another few weeks.

I was dated 5 weeks but was sure I was more 6 weeks. I went for a scan a week later privately and they said I was 7, so would tally with what I thought.

I was 2 weeks off with my last baby (knew when I ovulated and fairly limited DTD that month) but all was fine, he followed that date the whole way through the pregnancy.

Did they see a heartbeat?

I had the same, should have been around 9 weeks, but private scan said 6 weeks. Turned out we were both wrong as I was dated a week later by NHS.

Midwife said I probably just ovulated really late. It's more common then I realised.

You may be suffering from extreme bloating, it's pretty common in the first trimester.

Yeah very bloated ... to the point someone asked me the other day if I was due soon 😱😂

And also yes heart beat there straight away, all measuring normal etc. Probs have an accurate due date at 12 week scan which I have the date for ! Xxx
