I’ve just found out yesterday I’m pregnant! I wondered apart from folic acid what else should I be taking? Should I be taking vitamin d supplement or is it ok because it’s summer? Any help appreciated, thank you!

I would take a prenatal vitamin to cover everything. Some women are iron defficient, which can make morning sickness worse. So I think best to take a prenatal vitamins that has the key nutrients needed. Especially if your not sure your diet covers all. And in the UK we are all d vitamin deficient!

I was advised o take a pregnancy vitamin. Make sure it includes folic acid and vitamin d. I use seven seas for all stages of pregnancy. Can be cheaper than other brands

NHS only advises folic acid and vitamin d

I used the pregnacare pre conception ones for one month and fell pregnant after ttc for 10months! I think I’ll get the pregnacare original. Thanks ladies xx

Since I found out I'm pregnant I've been taking Pregnacare max, they're normally in boots on the 3 for 1 offer.

One amazing side effect of these is that my nails are really strong and are growing fast - normally my nails are very brittle, so it's a pleasant surprise! Or maybe it's the pregnancy ... who knows. Anyway these are grand and I'd recommend them.

Look at the boots pregnancy vitamin tablets. very similar to pregnacare but a fraction of the cost and usually 3 for 2

Thank you so much!
