Ok so I'm 34 this is my 3rd pregnancy I have 1DD and 1TFMR at 12 weeks (it was a boy) due to s genetic condition and other chromosomal abnormalities. The genetic condition basically means that I cannot proceed with the pregnancy should it be passed on due to the devastating effect on the baby! I am currently 5 weeks and 5 days pregnant and have a dating scan on 11th June so they can determine when 11 weeks is so I can have the CVS done then! There is only a 50% chance that I will be able to proceed with the pregnancy (we had wanted to do PGD but conceived our DD by happy accident before we got the appointment so we are now no longer entitled to funding and at 15k pet cycle it's too expensive), Basically I'm terrified as the TFMR last time had multiple complications during and afterwards! Anyone else have a similar journey or due for genetic testing soon?

I'm getting CVS testing this week due to husband having balanced chromosomal translocation. Not looking forward to the procedure as it hurt more than I thought it would last time.

Good luck and hope it's not too bad- I think mine will be end of June which will be around the time I should have had a little boy last year (29th I only remember coz it's a day before my wedding anniversary) 😢 - first time I had CVS wasn't too bad but the second time (they had to go deeper) I felt really sick after I'm terrified of getting a bad result again!! I think mine hurt so much last time because our daughter was positioned really far back and they had to go in twice. Hoping this baby is closer to the front.

I've been lucky both times with my placenta being high and at the the front- first time they went I twice coz they didn't get enough, second time only went in once but was worse!! X
