Negative test after a few positives.

So I have taken multiple tests. First 3 were positive. Generally they were just cheap strip tests but one was a clear blue early signs test. I took another today to ensure the lines are getting darker as they were all faint (except clear blue) it was negative! It freaked me out so much. Went out got another clear blue and its positive. Has anyone else had this? I did read that if urine is diluted, that may give a negative. I had drank loads of water so urine was pretty much clear. What are thoughts as I'm worrying a bit!

By the way the first few tests were about 4 days ago!

Could easily be that your pee was too diluted. have you got another to try in the morning?

Yeah I have another clear blue. So I'll take that in the morning. I heard that first wee of the day is best. Is that right?

Definitely use FMU if it's early stage pregnancy HCG may not be picked up from a diluted sample!

FMU is first morning urine. So your first piss of the day.

FMU is first morning's urine. You should ideally always test with your first wee when you wake up. If you want to do more tests, I would pee in a sample cup so it is all from FMU. Failing that wait a good few hours without peeing and then test.

Also people have mixed feelings about clearblue apart from the digital ones. Some people think they can give both false negatives and false positives. The best ones are First Response Early Detection also known as FRER on these forums. Also expensive 😬

Thanks for everyone's advice!! I did another test this morning with FMU. I will have a look into the first response or possibly a clear blue digital as OH is worried too. I have had 5 positives now so I think it should be fine but as it's my first and very early.. we are just a little scared something will go wrong!

How many days late are you? I didn't get a positive until AF was 4 days late.

Yes this happened to me. My advice is stop testing or you'll drive yourself insane! Good luck
